CAMDEN-WYOMING - James Wild of Camden-Wyoming, peacefully went to Heaven from his home, on January 26, 2014, after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He was 82 years old. Born on Feb. 24, 1931 to the late Florence (Cassley) and Henry A. Wild, Jim grew up in East Rutherford, N.J. Having graduated high school, he then joined the Air Force where he served as a cook during his enlistment. After the military, he spent the next 35 years as a truck driver, first delivering gas and oil, then chemicals. His last employment was by Kramer Chemical, Inc. where he was a driver, then later became the Safety Director before retiring. Jim was a member of Adoniram Lodge No. 80 F&AM for 58 years, as well as the Masonic Club, both of Lyndhurst, N.J. He was also a member of Salaam Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. in Livingston, N.J., and their Field Music Color Guard having marched in numerous parades over the years, along with his late brother, Lawrence P. Wild. In June of 1959, he married his wife, Patricia where they resided in Lyndhurst, N.J., and raised a family. Jim had a hobby of making simulated stain glass windows and wall hangings. He was also the go-to guy to get things fixed, as he loved to work with his hands and do general repairs. In 2003, they relocated to Delaware to enjoy their remaining retirement years. Jim is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 54 years, Patricia M. (Feldhusen) Wild; his valued son, William H. Wild and his wife Eva, of Hopatcong, N.J.; and his cherished and caring daughter, Dee Shyver and her wife Janel, of Dover. He also leaves his adoring grandchildren, Michael Londino, Amanda Day and her husband Joseph, Ashleigh Wild and Matthew Wild; and his deeply adored great granddaughter, Mila Londino. Additionally, he leaves his dear sister-in-law, Joanne C. Zamesnik and her husband John, of Elkton, Md.; as well as two nieces and their families.
