DOVER - James S. Brown, died Tuesday Sept. 18, 2012 at Kent General Hospital. Mr. Brown was born December 11, 1950, in Bluefield, W. Va. to the late Sherman Brown and Elizabeth Henderson Brown. He served in the United States Air Force retiring in 1990 after 20 years of service. After his retirement he worked at the Dover Air Force Base Exchange for 15 years. Mr. Brown enjoyed RV traveling, watching all sports especially football. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 39 years, Chamnong Brown of Dover; son, Pracha Kardmongmee and his wife Sherry of Idaho; daughters, Velai Songwong of Dover, Tanya Mungmee of N.J., Elizabeth Brown of Dover, and Heather Bey and her husband Solomon of Dover; sister, Sandra Wilson of Roanoke, Va.; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m,. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), Dover. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Christiana Care Kidney Transplant Program, Medical Arts Pavilion 2, Suite 2224 4735 Ogletown-Stanton Road , Newark DE 19713. Letters of condolence may be sent and the guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
