M/Sgt. 'Andy' James R. Devine, USAF (Ret) 77

DOVER - M/Sgt. "Andy" James R. Devine, USAF (Ret), passed away Friday, Dec. 05, 2008, at Kent General Hospital Bay Health, Dover. He was 77. He was born on June 29, 1931 in Honey Brook, Pa., to the late William and Grace Whiteman Devine. Andy retired from the U.S. Air Force with the rank of MSGT after 20 years. Andy retired after 17 years civil service at DAFB. Special thanks to the staff at Silver Lake Center for the excellent care they gave to Andy. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, John, Norman, and Carl; two sisters, Margaret and Betty; and a grandson, Michael Devine. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Arlene Ruoss Devine; son and his wife, James and Debbie K. Devine, son and his wife, Steve and Ann Devine, son and his wife, Tom and Kelly Devine, all of Dover; daughter and her husband, Debby and Jim Green, of Dover, daughter, Sandy Devine, of Bear; 13 grandchildren, Carissa, Jamie, Clayton, Deanna, Amanda, Andrew, Morgan, Jennifer, Sara, Stephen Jr., Arthur, Denise, and Melissa; and six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Leah, Thomas, Cole, Preston, and Madeline. Remembrance services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008 at Trader Funeral Home in Dover. Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park, Dover. Friends may also call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover.
