MILFORD - James L. Brego passed away at his home on Thursday, March 7, 2013. James was born on Dec. 26, 1934 in Woodbridge, N.J., son of the late John and Anna (Shornack) Brego. He was employed with the United States Army, during which time; he proudly served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, retiring after 23 years. After his career with the military, Mr. Brego accepted employment as a distribution supervisor with Johnson & Johnson in North Brunswick, NJ, where he remained for 16 years before retiring. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brego was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Brego. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helene E. Brego; two sons, John D. Brego and his wife Laura of St. John, US Virgin Islands, and Glenn L. Brego of Germany; and four grandchildren, Kyle Brego, Colin Brego, Joseph Brego and Emily Brego. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Burial, with military honors, will be held following the services in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way , Millsboro, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Read Aloud, PO Box 60, Georgetown, DE, 19947. Condolences may be emailed at www.delmarvaobits.com/rogers
