James J. Rosney, 78 HURLOCK - James Joseph "Chick" Rosney, of Hurlock, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at Chesapeake Woods Center in Cambridge. He was 78. He was born Nov. 28, 1929, in Philadelphia, the son of James Joseph Rosney and Lillian Ressler Rosney. Mr. Rosney was a bartender in Philadelphia and in Lower Bucks County for over 25 years and worked at Carmen's Place and the Hilltop Athletic Assoc. He retired and moved to the Eastern Shore where he enjoyed fishing and crabbing. He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Rosney. Mr. Rosney is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Jane Miazga Rosney whom he married Feb. 27, 1953; a daughter, Eileen Rosney Storm "Stormy" and her companion Billy Hazley of Philadelphia; a sister, Naomi Wils of Arizona; and several great nieces and nephews.
