Robinson, 87 CHESTERTOWN - James Edward "Ned" Robinson died on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at home. He was the son of the late Robert Lee and Susan Hadaway Robinson. His wife, Clyde Elizabeth Robinson, survives him. He is survived by three daughters, Suzanne Sutton (Frank) of Wyoming, Del., Sally Lane (Buz) of Chestertown, Md. and Peggy Reed (Charles) of Worton, Md.; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. A daughter, Libby Smith; and two brothers, R. Lee "Bozy" Robinson and Thomas H. Robinson predeceased him. Ned was born in Kent County, Md., attended Chestertown Elementary School and graduated from Chestertown High School in 1944. He worked as a dairy farmer on Maiden Lot Farm and later, in 1963, worked for the Chestertown Utilities Commission. He also delivered flowers for Elburn's Flowers and Flowers by Libby, owned by his daughter, until he was 80. Ned was inducted into the Modified Softball Hall of Fame in 2005. He loved playing and coaching softball. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, trapping, hunting, crabbing and fox hunting. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home in Chestertown, Md. where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2013. Interment will be in Chester Cemetery. Rev. Kenny Hickman will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chester River Home Care and Hospice, 6602 Church Hill Rd., Suite 300, Chestertown, MD 21620. Arrangements made by Marvin V.
