WYOMING - James C. Dill entered into the arms of Jesus May 2, 2013 after a brief illness. His family was at his bedside at Christiana Hospital. He was preceded in death by mother Clara Sapp Dill; father Philemon Dill and brother William Calvin Dill. James is survived by his wife of 46+ years, Ruth Dixon Dill; daughter Melissa and Aaron Mishoe (Cookeville, Tenn.), daughter Vicki and Russ Luther (Macon, Ga.); grandchildren Michael and Emily Mishoe (Cookeville, Tenn.), brothers Robert Dill (Greenwood), Walter and Carol Dill (Felton), Albert and Amy Dill (Camden); his father-in-law William Lewis Dixon (Felton); many loving in-laws; an amazing group of friends and lots of brothers and sisters in Christ. Jim is a graduate of Felton High School and proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. While he was a longtime member of Cedar Grove Wesleyan Church, Jim was a faithful and servant leader, serving as the Adult Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Supt, Vice-Chairman of Board, Trustee and lay pastor. He provided for his family by working at JC Penney for over 25 years. He was working fulltime at the Delaware Department of Transportation at Harrington Yard for almost 19 years up until his death. Jim was well known for his generosity, loving and kind spirit, hard work ethic and a great sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his 'girls'. He loved farming, working outdoors and gardening. Jim was passionate about sharing the love of Jesus and attending Southern Gospel Concerts and Denton Wesleyan Camp. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
