Moore, 71 KENNEDYVILLE - James A. 'Dukes' Moore died Sept. 23, 2012 in Chester River Hospital. Dukes was born on Sept. 20, 1941 in Massey, son of the late Elwood and Minnie Sipple Moore. He was a 1959 graduate of Galena High School. From 1963 to 1965 he served with the U.S. Army, earning the rank of Corporal. He had worked for 30 years with General Motors, retiring in 1992. He also worked at the Gulf Station in Millington and enjoyed farming with Henry Dierker and his brother-in-law Andy Chance. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. Along with his parents his was preceded in death by four brothers, David, Jack, Noah and Wayne Moore; three sisters, Louise Stazescski, Bessie Price and Doris Wallace. Dukes is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alta 'Peachie' Moore; three children, Wm. Randall Moore and his wife Robyn of Kennedyville, W. Jeffrey Moore of Worton, Md., and Deborah M. Dopp and her husband Billy of Galena; two brothers Ralph Moore of Missouri and Carlton 'Zip' Moore of Golts, Md.; three sisters, Ann Grove of Felton, Del., June Anderson of Millington, Md. and Audrey Chance of Chestervillle, Md.; and five grandchildren, Brody and Riley Dopp, Taylor, Kirsten and Megan Moore. Friends may call on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at 11 am. Burial in Asbury Cemetery, Millington, Md.
