LAUREL - James A. Chandler of Laurel passed away on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at the home of his daughter, Helen Whaley in Laurel. James was born in Millsboro, the son of the late Joshua W. and Matilda (Headley) Chandler. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was self-employed for 34 years and retired in 1981. He enjoyed collecting antiques and cooking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emma B. Chandler in 2010; and ten siblings. His is survived by his four children, Louise Roach and her husband Steve of Seaford, Helen Whaley and husband Wayne, Kaye E. Bristow and husband Calvin and Ronnie Lubiniecki and wife Eunice all of Laurel; seven grandchildren, Melissa Gordy, Heather Collins, Steve Roach, Wade Bristow, Mike Lubiniecki, Marsha Lubiniecki and Sherry Toler; and great grandchildren, Chase and Morgan Gordy, Treavor and Evan Collins, Hayley, Troy and Brett Roach, Trey, Bryce and Cody Bristow, Christopher and Austin Toler, Scott, Ryan and Kyle Hearn, Mandy and Alan Lubiniecki. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE, where friends may call after 12 p.m. Interment will be in Cokesbury Cemetery, Georgetown.
