SALISBURY - Jainny Antoinette Wade, known affectionately as "Tuqui," died Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Coastal Hospice At The Lake in Salisbury. Born in Ambato, Ecuador, she was the daughter of the late Maria Luisa Naranjo and Antonio Herdoiza. She was an advocate for local Hispanic children and their parents. For 54 years, she worked as an English translator for the Wicomico County Public Schools. She was a graduate of Colegio de la lnmaculada High School, before continuing her studies and graduating from Business School in Quito, Ecuador. Later in life, she stood side-by-side with her daughter, Jeanette, at Taylor's BBQ in Salisbury, where she befriended many patrons. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Tom Wade, of Salisbury; two children, Jeff Wade of West Ocean City and Jeanette Taylor of Salisbury; two grandchildren; her sister, Nancy Mitchell of Clovis, N.M.; four brothers, George Carillo of Clearwater, Fla., Bill Carillo of Hicksville, N.Y.; Fred Layman of Clearwater, Fla., and Albert Hayman of Tampa, Fla. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Salisbury. Burial will be in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
