Two organizations have initiated websites to educate Delaware voters about upcoming elections.
The nonpartisan League of Women Voters announced the launch of vote411.org ahead of next month’s school board elections.
There are 15 board of education elections coming up May 10, and information about each candidate in their own words can be found on the site.
Users who visit vote411.org only have to enter an address, and the election districts linked to the address will be identified for further information.
Later this year, LWV will invite state and local candidates for other public offices to provide information to the portal.
The deadline to file as a candidate for primary elections is July 12.
Additionally, in collaboration with S.A.F.E. Schools Delaware, American Civil Liberties Union Delaware has launched votedelaware.org.
ACLU has prioritized the protections and expansion of Delawareans’ freedom to vote, joining efforts led by the Delaware Voting Rights Coalition. The website was developed by the Delaware-based, woman-owned agency, BrandSwan, and aims to give voters a place to learn where candidates stand on issues and when, where and how to vote in the 2022 elections.
The project comes weeks before the Delaware school board elections May 10. On the website, users can find information about voting methods and locations and can read candidate questionnaires submitted by S.A.F.E Schools. It will also notify users of candidate forums, panel discussions, registration drives and other forms for engagement.
