Howard Linden Donovan III

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Howard Linden Donovan III of Chestertown died Friday, May 11, 2007, in Chester River Hospital Center, Chestertown. He was 69.

Mr. Donovan was born Feb. 19, 1938, in Sassafras, son of Anne Robinson Donovan of Sassafras and the late Howard L. Donovan Jr.

He was a 1956 graduate of Galena High School, and received his journeyman"s degree from Chesapeake College.

He was employed as a machinist for Dixon Valve and Coupling for 10 years.

Mr. Donovan enjoyed playing the guitar and country music.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Donovan.

He is survived by his mother, Anne Donovan of Sassafras; an aunt, Ellen Bowman of Great Mills; an uncle, Robert Donovan of Middletown, Del.; his wife of 32 years, Alice Willson Donovan; Mrs. Donovan"s daughter and son-in-law, April and Dave Ellis of Golts; the mother of his children, Mary Galt of Chestertown; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Howard "Donnie" IV and Maude Donovan of Clayton, Del., Steven E. and Valerie Donovan of Rock Hall, and Michael P. Donovan of Chestertown; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Betty Jean and Mike Treadwell of Gates, N.C., and Deanna and Greg Lamphere of Germantown; a brother, Lindsay Donovan of Massey; two sisters, Elizabeth Short of Chestertown and Jeannette Reynolds of Sassafras; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in St. Stephen"s Cemetery, Earleville.



Elizabeth Virginia "Ginny" (Vincent) LeVan, 92

SEAFORD - Elizabeth Virginia "Ginny" (Vincent) LeVan of Seaford passed away Saturday, May 12, 2007, in her home. She was 92.

Mrs. LeVan was born in Cambridge, Md., daughter of the late Mary Kathleen (Vickers) and Victor James Sr. Vincent.

She was a sales clerk at Sears in Seaford before retiring.

Mrs. LeVan was a member of St. Luke"s Episcopal Church, Seaford.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Wilson LeVan, in 1976; and a son, Gary Vincent LeVan, in 1993.

She is survived by a brother, V. James Vincent Jr. of Seaford; a niece; and a nephew.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Luke"s Episcopal Church Yard. The Rev. Jeanne W. Kirby will officiate.

Arrangements by Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Seaford.
