LAUREL - Howard Eugene Hill, age 73, of Laurel, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at his residence. Born in Decatur, Ga., the son of the late Velma Shaw and John R. Hill, he was a maintenance man at Sussex Tech Hihg School. Prior to that he served 22 years in the US Navy retiring as a Chief Boatswains Mate. He is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Sharon Ann McElroy and husband Charles of Bridgeville, Diana Marie Moore and husband Hugh of Laurel, and Holly Ann Robbins and husband Barry of Blades; a brother, John Hill of Florida; and a sister, Peggy Wilson of Georgia. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Howard Ryan Hawkins, Deborah Kellsie Moore, Dalton Wyatt Elliott, and Carissa Nicole Robbins. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Deborah MacPherson Hill in 1994. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, in Watson-Yates Funeral Home Front & King Streets, Seaford, where friends may call at 10 a.m. Pastor Dave Kiser will officiate. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Seaford.
