SMYRNA - Howard Clifton Deputy Sr., of Smyrna, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 61.
Born on March 5, 1947, in Wilmington, he was the son of the late Anna A. (Marker) and Howard Sullivan Deputy.
Howard worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially crabbing with his son.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Chambers-Deputy; his three children, Denise Fletcher and her husband Brian, Howard Deputy Jr. and his wife Kelly, and Barbara Thomas; two stepchildren, Tara Susee, and James Chambers; nine grandchildren, Jodi Lyn, Brian Edward and his wife Amanda, Trey, David, Bruce, C.J., Dylan, Danielle, and Joshua; one great-granddaughter, Callyn Sofia; two sisters, Phyllis Blanchfield, and Pauline Wheeler and her husband Norman; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are private.
