Hope for the Warriors awards $2,500 to Magnolia resident

MAGNOLIA — Hope for the Warriors has awarded its annual scholarship to Emily White, a University of Kentucky student.

Ms. White is pursuing a doctorate in social work and received the Restoring Hope Scholarship of $2,500, awarded to those studying for a master’s or doctorate of social work, psychology, counseling or mental health-related field.

Hope for the Warriors is a national military nonprofit that assists veterans, service members and military families by providing financial, career and educational stability; physical and emotional strength; and social support.

Ms. White was awarded the 2022-23 Delaware Department of Education Behavioral Health Professional of the Year honor for her role as a mental health clinician in the Caesar Rodney School District. She also owns and operates a private practice in Camden, Lotus Emotional Wellness Services.

The group’s 2024 spring scholarship application is open through Oct. 1 at hopeforthewarriors.org.
