DOVER — Inspired by the events of 9/11, Homes for Heroes was started in Minneapolis in 2002 and has helped 52,253 individuals save more than $94,000,000, according to Lori Milton of CoastLine Realty, Dover, the new Homes for Heroes specialist for Kent County.
The initiative’s mission is to provide savings to heroes who provide extraordinary services to our nation and communities every day, including firefighters, EMTs, 911 operators, police officers, military members, health care professionals and teachers.
Homes for Heroes is comprised of affiliate real estate and mortgage specialists committed to providing savings when heroes buy, sell or refinance homes.
The average savings for clients is $2,400.
