Greenwood - Born in Harrington, DE on July 18, 1932; departed this life on January 12, 2019.
Hester was preceded in death by her husband; James E. Smith; son, Daniel E. Baynard, and granddaughter, Lesa Baynard; five brothers, Noah Baynard Jr., Frank Baynard, Nelson Baynard, Clifford Baynard and Raymond Baynard, Sr.; six sisters, Ruth Baynard, Hazel Baynard, Mary Baynard, Gertrude Baynard, Elma Baynard and Leona Coverdale.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Little; sister, Amanda Morrison; three grandchildren, James "Garnett" Baynard, Sr., Danielle Baynard and Stradivari Baynard; eight great-grandchildren, Sgt. James G Baynard, Jr., Kelan E. Baynard, Kimberly Randall, Karrosa Baynard, Andrew Lanier, La Drewya Lanier, Drewgvita Lanier and Lonnessa Tonigue. She is also survived by her special friend of 10 years, Bobby Allen and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Service of celebration will be held 12 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22 at Evan W. Smith Funeral Services Chapel, 518 S. Bay Road, Dover, DE. Viewing 10 a.m.-12 p.m.; with formal home going service to follow. Interment will be in Williamsville Cemetery, Williamsville , DE.
