Herbert Donald Burbage Jr.

Burbage, Jr., 53 MILFORD - Herbert Donald Burbage, Jr. passed away on Wed., Feb. 13, 2013 after a short illness. Mr. Burbage is the son of Pearl (Wisseman) Burbage and the late Herbert Donald Burbage. He was a chef who began his career training under 5 star chefs at Dover Downs. He continued his career working at Bonanza in Milford, then the Westminster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dover, at the Delaware Hospice Center when it first opened, where he was given the opportunity to set up the kitchen to his liking and was currently at the Harrison House in Georgetown. Herbie enjoyed cooking, playing golf, watching NASCAR and was an avid animal lover. He had been a member of Boy Scout Troop #308. He had a great sense of humor and he would share that with everyone he encountered. He is survived by his mother, Pearl (Wisseman) Burbage; two sisters, Carol Feldmann and her husband John of Middletown and Donna Burbage and her husband Kevin Tatman of Frederica; two nephews, Brent Feldmann and Asher Feldmann; and two nieces, Lacey Chism and Holly Van Auken; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, N. Walnut Street, Milford, DE. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the DE SPCA - Sussex Chapter, 22918 Dupont Highway, Georgetown, DE 19947
