Henry O. Setser

SMYRNA - Henry O. Setser, 88, of Smyrna, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at the Christiana Hospital in Newark. Mr. Setser was born Oct. 18, 1923, in Gray, Ky., to the late Bev W. and Nannie Setser. Henry served his country with honors as a retired veteran of the US Marine Corp. Mr. Setser was a member of Harmony Lodge #13 in Smyrna. His passion was golf and he would travel all over the country for a golf match. His other passion was taking care of his garden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tess in 2007; a brother, Bev White, Jr.; and two sisters, Muriel and Beulah. He is survived by his son, Thomas (Marjie) Setser of Smyrna; his daughter, Dianna (John) Hufford of Smyrna; four grandchildren, Kimberly (John) Makar, Catherine Small, Thomas (Joyce) Setser and Brad (Robin) Setser; five great-grandchildren, Jessica (Christiane) Roberto, Hunter Zavaliga, Lauran and Mar laina Makara, Jackson Schneider and Dean Setser; and one great-great-grandson, Christiane Roberto. He is also survived by his brothers, James, Billy and Sam; and his sisters, Atthenia Neal, Wilma Jean Helton and Elma Jeanette Crawford. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
