Ostermann, 86 GREENWOOD - Henry John Ostermann died suddenly at his home on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012. Born in Denton, Md. on Oct. 27, 1926, Mr. Ostermann was the son of the late William John Ostermann and Martha Mary Schoen. Mr. Ostermann was a 1943 graduate of Caroline High School in Denton. He was a machinist for E.I. DuPont from 1947 until he retired July 6, 1986. He also owned and operated Ostermann Farms near Denton and Federalsburg. He loved antiques and going to antique shops in Pennsylvania. A natural mechanic and carpenter, he worked on chairs, vehicles, built houses, and built clocks. He was a man who could do anything with his hands. Mr. Ostermann is survived by two daughters, Sharon J. Lednum of Federalsburg, Md., and Crystal Berg of Pittsville, Md.; seven sons, John W. Ostermann of Federalsburg, Md., Henry W. Ostermann of Federalsburg, Raymond E. Ostermann of Greenwood, Francis L. Ostermann of Denton, Dale T. Ostermann of Greenwood, Charles Werner of Delmar, Del., and David Werner of Seaford, Del; one brother, Anthony W. Ostermann of Denton; 18 grandchildren, Judy, Hank, Raymond, Lisa John, Libby, Dale, Crystal, Anthony, Erin, Daniel, Charles, Rachel, Elizabeth, Tony, DJ., Jeremy, and Kevin; and many great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Adams. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at the St. Elizabeth's Roman Catholic Church on First St. in Denton. Friends may visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday evening at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second St. in Denton. The interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery near Greensboro, MD.
