Hegman, 90 Little Creek - Helen "Mammy" Hegman passed away Saturday April 26, 2014 at Kent General Bay health Hospital Dover, DE She was born on Feb. 20, 1924 in Little Creek to the late Doug and Helen Baird Harrington. She was a member of the Little Creek Vol. Fire Co. and then became a charter member of the Little Creek Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Aux. She was a member of the Ladies of the Elks # 1903. She is a former Mayor of the town of Little Creek. She worked for the State of Delaware in the Dept. of Labor also Acme Markets and a waitress at the Village Inn. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hegman; sisters, Kathleen Courtney, June Harrington and son in law, Bill Barney. She is survived by Sons and daughter in laws, Doug (Judy) Hegman of Little Creek, Rodney (Lori) Hegman of Smyrna. Daughter, Patricia Barney of Lewis. Daughter and her husband, Connie (Jim) Reid of Milton. Sister, Gloria Cregar of Dover. Nine Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren. Remembrance services will be held Thursday May 1, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Trader Funeral Home in Dover. Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover. Friends may also call Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover. The family request that memorial contributions be given to Little Creek Vol. Fire Co.
