DOVER - Helen E. Pardee, formerly of Church Hill, Md., passed away at Westminster Village in Dover on May 1, 2014 with family members at her side. Born Nov. 17, 1921 to Harry and Bertha Wallen McGinnes, Helen spent most of her life in the Church Hill area, graduating from Church Hill High School, and later living on Clabber Hill Rd. for many years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph W. and H. Sidney McGinnes, and a niece, Mary Ann Trojak. Helen retired from the Queen Anne's CountyTreasurer's office after many years of service. She loved dancing, pinochle and her backyard pool. Helen had a great joy for life, was a genuine "people person" and had many friends. She loved all living creatures and found happiness in taking care of many, from birds to cats, dogs and horses. She passed from this world without pain or fear, and with joy in the anticipation of seeing her family and friends who had passed before her. She is survived by one sister, Elsie M. Trojak of Palo Alto, Calif.; four nephews, William F. McGinnes (Lucy) of Crumpton, Ralph E. "Mac" McGinnes of Chestertown, Robert A. McGinnes (Linda) of Frederick and Jerry T. McGinnes (Donna) of Rock Hall, and one niece, Jean A. McGinnes of Chester Harbor. There will be no funeral services. Being a generous and giving person in life, Helen chose to donate her body to the medical community after death. Her cremains will eventually be interred next to her parents in Woodlawn Cemetery near Easton. A memorial service and "Celebration of the Life of Helen Pardee" will be scheduled in a few weeks. If anyone wishes to make a donation in her memory, Queen Anne's Co. Hospice and the Humane Society were dear to her heart, but any charitable organization of your choosing would be
