Hazel E. Hignutt

HENDERSON - Hazel E. Hignutt, died on Oct. 16, 2012 at home in Henderson, Md. She was born in Orange Va. On Dec. 13, 1927 to the late Benjamin F. and Goldie Breeden Eaheart. She was the owner operator of Triple H Ranch with her husband Lawrence Sr. A lifetime resident of the area she was member of the Goldsboro Trinity United Methodist Church where she served as teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, and various committees throughout her life. She was a member of the Maryland Farm Bureau where she served on the women's committee for many years and the also the Delaware Farm Bureau were she traveled every January to the National Conventional and the vacation spots that this fun loving group picked to enjoy during a chance to get away from the Farm. She was a member of the Caroline Historical Society, the Caroline County Democratic Club, and she had been very active with the development of the Bee Tree 4-H Club and served as a leader for many years. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence W. Hignutt Sr.; son, Lawrence W. Hignutt, Jr.; two brothers, Robert Eaheart from Va., Paul Eaheart from Ill.; and sister, Nancy Hayes from Va. She is survived by daughters Linda Parenteau of Henderson, Md., Lisa Wothers of Henderson, Md.; sisters, Anne Schreiber of Harrington Del., Betty Porter and husband Robert of Harrington, Del.; six grandchildren, Eric Hignutt and wife Donna, Dawn Scott and husband Tom, Drew Parenteau, Justin Parenteau and wife Amber, Kristen Wothers and Jared Wothers; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be on Saturday Oct 20, 2012 from 7 to 9 p.m. in Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home Greensboro Md. and Sunday Oct. 21, 2012 from 1 to 2 p.m. with the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in the Greensboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to the Goldsboro Trinity Methodist Church, P.O. Box 153, Goldsboro MD. 21636
