Harry Edward McBride Sr.

McBride, Sr., 88 SMYRNA - Harry Edward McBride, Sr., 'Lefty', passed away at his home on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012. Lefty was born July 5, 1924 in Kenton, the son of the late Ernest and Estella McBride. He retired after 25 years of service for the Smyrna School District. Mr. McBride also owned and operated Lefty's Music Shop of Smyrna for 45 years. Lefty enjoyed playing country music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Patsy McBride. He is survived by two sons, Ed McBride and his wife Doris of Andersonville, Tenn., and Bob McBride and his partner William Hall of Bear, Del; his daughter, Sandy Bragayrac of Smyrna; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, William McBride of Smyrna. A viewing will be held on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St., Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be held in Glenwood Cemetery in Smyrna. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
