HARRINGTON — A 34-year-old Harrington man was charged with strangulation and other alleged offenses after police were called to the Milford Memorial Hospital Thursday for a reported assault, spokesman Capt. Earl K. Brode said.
According to a 14-year-old family member, police said, Isiah R. Sample supposedly committed assault during an argument, including choking. The child was transported to the hospital by another family member, authorities said.
Mr. Sample was taken into custody without incident at a Central Park Drive residence, police said.
Other charges include offensive touching and disorderly conduct. Mr. Sample was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 7 in Dover and released on own recognizance.
