Harriett T. Massey, 84

SALISBURY, Md. - Harriett T. Massey of Salisbury, Md. passed away in her home on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007. She was 84.

Mrs. Massey was born in Georgetown, daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Ellen Wilson Thompson.

She was a seamstress in the clothing industry for many years in the Wicomico and Sussex County areas.

Mrs. Massey enjoyed traveling and going out to dinner.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry W. Clausen; her second husband, Howard W. Massey; and four sisters, Edna King, Ethel Wilson, Grace Thompson and Helen Thompson.

She is survived by six children and their spouses, Robert and Gloria Clausen, Betty and Harry Marker, June and Milton Betts, Ralph and Peggy Clausen, all of Georgetown, Joann and Bud Toomey of Seaford, and John and Kathy Massey of Salisbury; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and her companion: Al Mills of Bivalve, Md.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after noon.

Burial will be in St. John"s U.M. Church Cemetery, Georgetown.

Flowers are accepted or contributions can be made, for Asthma research, to the American Lung Association of Delaware, 422 S. Governors Ave., Dover, DE 19904.
