CAMBRIDGE - Harriett B. Pritchett, 81, of Cambridge, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Dorchester General Hospital. She was born in Bucktown on Feb. 9, 1931, and was a daughter of the late Roy and Hilda Metz Robbins. She attended schools in Cambridge. On Nov. 30, 1972, she married Harold L. Pritchett who passed away on Dec. 17, 1994. She worked as a seamstress for Rob Roy for 22 years. She enjoyed puzzle books, hand held games and her cat. She is survived by four daughters, Joyce Richardson of Cambridge, Debbie Merryweather and husband Jim of Cambridge, Pamela Hayden and husband Tony of Cobb Island, and Betty Edgar and husband Mike of Cambridge; ten grandchildren, David Mills, Stephen Mills, Traci Wingate, Jackie Hayden, Kimberly Kragh, JT Merryweather, Kristen Stine, Amy Searcey, Ashley Jones and David Hayden, Jr.; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Woodrow Robbins and wife Jane of Raleigh, N.C., Roy Robbins and wife Pat of Cambridge; two sisters, Barbara Jones and husband John of Joppatown, Md., and Anna Tilghman of Cambridge; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Pritchett was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Clark. Pallbearers will be David Mills, Stephen Mills, JT Merryweather, David Hayden, Jr., Michael Jones and Orington Searcey. A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery.
