DOVER — A man was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon during a Tuesday morning traffic stop, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.
Police said George Coulter was stopped for a motor vehicle violation in the 200 block of South DuPont Highway at approximately 1:51 a.m.
When officers contacted Mr. Coulter, police said, they observed the barrel of a handgun sticking out from the center console. Officers detained Mr. Coulter without incident and retrieved the loaded firearm.
After being charged, Mr. Coulter was released on an own recognizance bond.
