Hague: Elect Trump to keep U.S. free

Mr. Frederick Longacre, it is extremely obvious that you do not believe that President Donald Trump has any redeeming qualities (“When things fall apart for Trump, what then?"). I would like to offer a plan B on his behalf, since you say his plan A is falling apart. Now, remember, this is just me thinking out loud. You state that, if elected, President Trump would be a dictator/tyrant. How so? Give me some examples. If his past behavior is any indication, that scenario is not likely. He did not exhibit any of the traits of a dictator/tyrant during his first term. If I remember correctly, when he left office, inflation was at about 1.5%. Gas prices were around $1.86 per gallon. Mortgages were very low, somewhere around 3%. Illegal immigrants were not pouring across the border unchecked. The economy was beginning to rebound in spite of the COVID-19 debacle. Iran was about broke, due to severe economic sanctions imposed by President Trump.

Then, Joe Biden got elected. First day in office, he signed about 96 executive orders that undid most everything President Trump accomplished. He shut down the Keystone pipeline, putting thousands out of work and saying that they could get jobs in the new green economy. He allowed Russia to continue the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. How is that working out? He lifted many of the sanctions on Iran, allowing that radical Islamic terrorist state to accumulate untold billions of dollars from the sale of oil. What did Iran do with the money, you ask? They, again, began funding terrorist organizations throughout the world, including Hamas and Hezbollah.

If Biden and Kamala Harris are so great, why is inflation still around 3%? While it is down from a high of about 9%, it is still very high compared to when President Trump left office. The cost of mortgages is around 7%. Almost no one can afford to buy a house. Now, in your view, Kamala is the best hope. First, how did she get where she is, the “democratic” (and I use that term loosely) nominee for president? When Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., among other liberal elites, figured out that Biden was going to lose, they forced him out. Pelosi and Biden have both admitted as much in interviews. In his place, Harris was anointed. Just ignore the fact that she had not earned one delegate in the primaries. Nor had she ever even been in a primary. She never received one vote. How democratic is that? Actually, that sounds like a dictatorship. Let’s explore her past a bit. Her father is an avowed Marxist professor from Berkeley, California. She was one of the first ultraprogressive prosecutors that California has had. She participated in a fund to bail out violent criminals in Minnesota, who went on to commit even more heinous crimes. I could go on and on.

While I have long suspected that she is a communist socialist, especially when “the Squad” endorsed her, she recently proved it. Her economic plan is right out of the playbook of the socialist communist regimes of old, such as Cuba, Venezuela and Russia. Price controls. Rent control. How have their economies done? Even her pick for vice president, Tim Walz, is a communist socialist. Look what he did to the citizens of Minnesota during the pandemic. He put a mother of eight in jail for 90 days (she got out in 60) for violating his Orwellian COVID-19 mandates. He ordered police to use paintball guns on citizens who were sitting on their porches after curfew. He has lied about the DUI he got. He has lied about his military service. All provable facts. Mr. Longacre, is this your idea of what is best? It certainly isn’t mine, and I hope a vast majority of citizens — but not illegals — agree with me.

My plan B, you ask? Make sure communist Kamala is not elected. I encourage all my friends and neighbors to make sure you get out and vote for President Trump, so we can keep the United States free! Our democracy and republic is at stake.
