DOVER — The Next Generation of Southern Delaware, a giving circle of the Delaware Community Foundation, is opening the 2021 Grant Application cycle.
Non-profit organizations serving both Kent and Sussex Counties are eligible to apply for grant funds through Aug. 31. Next Gen South currently concentrates grant funding toward addiction treatment and family support services, specifically centered around both treatment and prevention initiatives.
During the 2020 grant cycle, $15,000 was awarded and split between Zoë Ministries Inc. and Love Inc. of Mid-Delmarva, whose missions and direction most closely aligned with the organization’s criteria and focus.
Next Gen South is a philanthropic organization that was created and is directed by young professionals living and working in Kent and Sussex counties. Its mission is to develop young professionals into effective nonprofit board leaders.
Next Gen South board members engage in fundraising, grant making, community outreach, education and more. Since its inception, Next Gen South has awarded more than $91,000 in grants. To learn more about Next Gen South and review grant application links, go online.
