Grace Genevieve Camp

Camp, 89 GALENA Md. - Grace Genevieve Camp passed away on Jan. 12, 2013 in University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore, Md. Mrs. Camp was born on Dec. 11, 1923, daughter of the late Heston H. and Orena 'Reni' Hill Bramble. She was a 1941 graduate of Millington High School. For 30 years she worked in the Galena and Millington School Cafeterias and later cared for elderly. She loved caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Camp was a member of the Olivet United Methodist Church, where she was active with Bible Study and had taught Sunday school. She was also a member of the Galena Homemakers and Busy Bees. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, plastic canvas and hunting. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Eugene Camp in 1994. Mrs. Camp is survived by her son, David Camp; two grandchildren, Brett Camp and Amber Camp-Yeager and her husband Jimmy; and three great-grandchildren, Jimmy Yeager, Jr., Josh Yeager and Alyssa Yeager all of Galena. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Galena Cemetery.
