KITTS HUMMOCK - Gordon E. King passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017 at home. Mr. King was born Apr. 29, 1949 in Dover to Irene E. Patterson King and the late William H. King. He had served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Mr. King had received a Bachelor of Science Degree in business administration from the University of Delaware and a Master's Degree in banking from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and also a graduate from Goldie Beacon College. He had attended Christ Episcopal Church in Dover. Mr. King held several banking positions and was self-employed in his own business for a number of years. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his Uncle Ralph; and his brother, Robert. He is survived by his mother, Irene King of Dover; and brother, Nicholas King of Dover. Funeral services will be held 12PM, Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
