MOORE HAVEN - Gloria Mathis Welborn, died Thursday, Mar. 29, 2012, at Heartland Regional Center in Sebring, Fla. She was born Dec. 8, 1945, to Linsey and Mavis Mathis, in Moore Haven and was a life-long resident. She was preceded in death by her father and mother. Survivors include sons, Jimmy Randall (Marsha) Roberts, Linsey Chris (Kari) West, both of Moore Haven, James Michael (Stephanie) West of Polk City, Fla.; sister, Linda (Jimmy) Moses of Auburndale, Fla.; and a brother, Delbert (Michelle) Mathis of Moore Haven; grandsons, Jimmy Roberts, Jr., Jimmy and Thomas Melanson, all of Moore Haven; granddaughters, Leah and Amy West of North Carolina, Laura Roberts of Ohio, McKenzie West of Polk City, Fla, Reygen Livingood, Albrey Piper and Bradyn West, all of Moore Haven; and four great-granddaughters of North Carolina. There are also many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She will be greatly missed by all. Visitation and services were Monday, April 2, 2012, at Buxton-Seawinds Funeral Home in Okeechobee. Burial followed at Ortona Cemetery.
