GREENWOOD - Glenn H. Derrickson, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 in Bayhealth at Milford Memorial Hospital. Glenn was born in Lewes, son of Luella M. (Bennett) Derrickson and the late Howard J. Derrickson. He was a letter carrier for the USPS in Rehoboth Beach for 25 years. Glenn enjoyed playing cards and playing with Rottweiler's. His favorite sports teams were the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He was a member of Crossroad Community Church and had served in the Coast Guard. In addition to his mother, Glenn is survived by his wife of 25 years, Peggy (Holston) Derrickson; a brother, Jack Derrickson, of New York City, N.Y.; a sister, Myra Hudson of Georgetown; seven nieces; four nephews; and his dog, Roxie. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 at Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown, with visitation after 11 a.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 111 Independence Mall East #411, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Arrangements in the care of Short Funeral Services, Georgetown.
