DOVER - Gladys Morris was born August 19, 1914 and was called from labor to reward on March 6, 2013. Gladys cherished her family and was truly loved as the family matriarch. She enjoyed serving the Lord and helping others. She was a faithful member of Union Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mother's Board. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Thomas; nine brothers and sisters; Winford, Harvey Jr., Floyd, Creed, and Raymond Morgan, Dorothy Ridgeway, Beatrice Reed, Naomi Morgan and Catherine Morgan; three sons Harvey, Glendon, Richard; two daughters Dolores Mays and Edna Sanders; and grandson Jason Crump. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving son Joseph of Dover; devoted daughter Loretta of North Brentwood, Md; daughter-in-law Essie Durham; sisters-in-law , Dorothy Morgan and Margaret Roach; 18 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 883 Lincoln St. Dover, DE. Condolences can be sent to minusfh@verizon.net.
