After her military service, she moved back to Salisbury, where she met and married her husband, Handy Layfield. Clayland, of Ocean City and Patty Cook, of Salisbury; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial with military honors will be in Spring Hill Memory Gardens.
