Gilbert F. Steuer

HARTLY - Gilbert F. Steuer passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Gilbert was born on March 15, 1940 in Bayonne, N.J. son of the late Gilbert and Elizabeth (Leonhardt) Steuer. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and served as an Army policeman. Gilbert had worked most of his adult life with Papen Farms, Wyoming as a mechanic. He also drove charter buses for Dawson Bus Service. He was a member of the Camden-Wyoming Fire Company. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Laura Steuer; sons, A. William Strickland and his wife, Melissa of Leipsic, Matthew Joseph Angrisani and his fiancee, Jennifer Guzmam of Hartly; granddaughter, Valeria; grandson, Lane; two brothers, Harold Steuer and his wife, Wilhemina of Jacksonville, Fla., and Robert Steuer of New Jersey. As to Gilbert's wishes, he was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
