Leeron SabbGEORGETOWN — Leeron Sabb, 55, of Geor getown, was arrested on Friday by Delaware State Police after he allegedly threatened a man with a shotgun during an argument in Georgetown, according to police.
Troopers were dispatched to the 20000 block of Donovans Road at around 10:35 p.m. Friday for a domestic dispute.
When the troopers arrived, they talked to a 26-year-old woman from Georgetown, who told them that Mr. Sabb pulled into the driveway at the residence and began arguing with his 19-year-old nephew and a 37-year-old man from Georgetown.
The argument escalated into a pushing match, in which the 19-year-old punched the 37-year-old, knocking him to the ground.
The woman said that while she was tending to the 37-year-old man, Mr. Sabb came towards them and a struggle took place.
Polices said while the woman was on the ground, the 19-year-old grabbed her by the neck with both of his hands.
Mr. Sabb then walked across the street to his home where he got a shotgun. He aimed the shotgun at the 37-year-old man and threatened to shoot him.
Troopers discovered that Mr. Sabb is prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition due to a prior violent felony.
Mr. Sabb was taken back to Troop 4 in Georgetown where he was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited; aggravated menacing; possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited; terroristic threatening and possession of a firearm while under the influence.
He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown on $81,000 cash only bond.
The 19-year-old man was also taken back to Troop 4 where he was charged with offensive touching. He was then released from custody.
