George Ray Cain

DOVER - George Ray Cain of Midland, Ga., formerly of Dover, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 in Columbus, Ga. Mr. Cain was born Aug. 14, 1946 in Morgantown, W.Va. to the late Willie Eaton Cain and Wilma Mae Rushford Cain. He had served in the United States Air Force for 21 years retiring as a TSgt, he had served 2 tours in Vietnam. Mr. Cain worked for 8 years as a manager for Argyle Townhouses, then owned his own business for 12 years, Medical Management Solutions. He was proud to serve his country and mentoring his grandchildren. Mr. Cain enjoyed golf and fishing but especially his time spent with family. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Dover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Cain; and sister, Shirley Butterworth. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Bonny Cain of Midland, Ga.; son, George Ray Cain, Jr, and his wife Angela Drescher Cain, of Wellington, Fla.; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Chabot of Niceville, Fla.; twin brother, William Cain and his wife Lynn; sister, Doris Earnest of Mt. Marion, Pa.; grandchildren, Corrine Bonneville and her husband Matthew of Camden, Alisha Creek and her husband Travis of Tampa, Fla.; Kylie, Luke, Madison, Noah and Zoey all of Wellington, Fla., and Seth, Matthew, and Zachary all of Niceville, Fla.; and his pet birds, Roxie and Skye. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m., Monday, March 3, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 237 West Lebanon Road (RT.10), Dover, DE 19901. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Interment will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Park, Millsboro. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
