Landon, Sr., 49 GEORGETOWN - George R. "Rob" Landon, Sr. passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident. He was born in Washington, D.C. on October 30, 1962. Mr. Landon had worked as a self employed contractor for many years and for the past four years was also the owner and proprietor of the Overstuffed Sandwiches located near Coolsprings outside of Lewes, Del. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed many outside activities including; fishing, deer hunting, riding his Harley, football, NASCAR and coaching many different sports. Rob was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Georgetown where he had served as an usher and had formerly been a member of the Knights of Columbus in College Park, Maryland, his former home area. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Kathryn R. "Katie" Landon; his son, Robby Landon, Jr. of Millsboro, Del.; daughters, Tina May and husband Toby of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Amber Landon of Milford, Del., and Abbie Landon of Georgetown; his parents, Skip (Pop) and Kathy Landon of Dunkirk, Md.; three brothers, Frank Landon of Tallahassee, Fla., Daniel Landon and wife Jodi and Brian Landon, all of Dunkirk, Md.; a sister, Mary Linebarrier and husband John of Daytona, Fla.; five grandchildren, Jasmine Davidson, Kaylee Landon, Tyler Davidson, Austin May and McKenna May; brother-in-laws Jody Johansen of Cleveland, Ohio and Christian Johansen of Ocean City, Md.; and sister-in-law, Elise Milliken of Rutland, Mass.; mother-in-law Lucille Johansen of Ocean City, Md. and many, many friends. He was also predeceased by his biological mother Mary "Peggy" Pepin. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 202 Edward Street, Georgetown, DE. Interment will be private at a later date. Friends may call on Monday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 North Bedford Street, Georgetown, DE. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to Bikers Against Drunk Drivers, 2665 North Atlantic Avenue, Suite 126, Daytona Beach, Florida 32118 or to a family trust which will be anounced at a later date.
