RELIANCE, Md. - George E. Wain Sr. of Reliance passed away Friday, July 20, 2007, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was 74.
Mr. Wain was born Oct. 14, 1932, in Baltimore, son of the late Howard and Helen (Hood) Wain.
He was a steel worker of welding fabrication.
Mr. Wain is survived by his wife, Shirley (Baynard) Wain; three daughters, Joyce Hammel of Dagsboro, Del., Sharon Choma of Glen Burnie, and Dawn Kemper of Severn; two sons, George Wain Jr. of Seaford, Del., and Steven Wain of Baltimore; his stepchildren, Emmett "Pete" Wilson of Federalsburg, Calvin Stevens Jr. of Easton, Jeanine Griffith of Federalsburg, and Anissa Blizzard of Cordova; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty Shupe.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Framptom Funeral Home, with the Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating.
Interment will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg.
Friends may call at the funeral home from one hour prior to the service.
