HURLOCK - Gary Wayne Miller, 58, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Del., surrounded by his family.

He was born April 17, 1949, in Baltimore, the son of the late Doyle Linwood Miller and Marie Pauline Starner Miller.

He was employed as a counselor for Chesapeake Youth Center in Cambridge and was a self-employed carpenter. He served his country in the U.S. Army, serving three tours in Vietnam.

He was a member of the Federalsburg Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5246, a member of the Hurlock American Legion, and a member of the A.M. Veterans.

He loved fishing, tinkering, camping and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Joanie "Bug" Mansfield Miller; two daughters, Shannon Miller of Hurlock and Tracy Cloude of Port Deposit; a son, Aaron Miller Sr. of Seaford, Del.; a brother, Charles E. Comer (Carol) of Fairfield, Pa.; two sisters, Glenda A. Coppage (Allen) of Hurlock, and Iris B. Rieck (Harry Jr.) of Preston; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Janet Wheeler (Marvin) of Pasadena; special friends Donnie and Nanci Coale, Dawn Wilson, Alec Nichols, and Wayne Riddlemoser; and extended famil, Betty Richards, David "Toby" and Mickey Mansfield, Julia and David Burns, Allen and Jennifer Mansfield, Patti and Rick Stadden, George "Buck" and Sally Mansfield, and Clara Mansfield.

Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Rev. Howard "Buddy" Dunn officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at the Eastern Shore Veterans" Cemetery in Hurlock.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. A VFW service will be held just prior to the service on Thursday.

Ada M. Burton

CAMBRIDGE - Ada M. Burton, 85, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 at Dorchester General Hospital.

She was born in Pocomoke City on June 22, 1922, and was a daughter of the late Ernest G. and Enid Corbin Guthrie.

Mrs. Burton attended school in Virginia. She was married to Lennie Burton, who passed away on Nov. 20, 1977. Most of her life she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, William G. Burton and wife Doris of East New Market, and Robert Burton of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Holly Burton, Shanna Burton, Lenny Ray Burton and Kelsey Burton.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Burton was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Guthrie and a sister, Myrtle Parks.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Pastor Jonathan Carpenter officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Lenny Burton, Jimmy Bryan, Roy Wells, Jody Hughes Sr., Alex Travers and Kevin Todd.
