LEWES — The Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park will conduct their annual meeting on Saturday, March 6 at 9 a.m. via the Zoom app. The link can be found at www.friendsofcapehenlopen.org/.

The annual meeting is the event at which the Friends reflect on their activities for the past year, welcome new Friends, and elect members for any board slot that has become vacant. The Friends are encouraging anyone who is interested in serving to get in touch so they can make sure your name is on the ballot. This is an open meeting. Everyone is welcome to hear discussion of upcoming activities and volunteer opportunities for the coming year. Only members may vote for officers, but you can join the organization or renew your membership on the Friends of Cape Henlopen website. The presentations will begin with an update on park activities by park staff, followed by a presentation by the guest speaker, Ian Stewart, ornithologist of the Delaware Nature Society.
