HARRINGTON - It is with our deepest sorrow we are announcing the death of Frieda Golden Beebe, resident of Harrington, Del. She passed away on August 2, 2012. The cause of death was ruled sudden death due to myocardial infarction (heart attack). Frieda was born on April 25, 1937. She was born and raised in Ellendale, Del. She graduated from Milford High School in 1955. She always wanted to be a nurse. A goal she attained by attending Wesley College, graduating with an Associates Degree in Nursing. During her long nursing career, she worked at Milford Memorial Hospital in the Pediatrics department for several years. Later she worked at various hospitals and nursing homes in the Milford/Harrington area. She had many hobbies and interests as she entered retirement. She continued to due some private duty nursing and worked with hospice. However she also pursued her many other interests that included, traveling locally and afar with her dear group of friends, tending to her beautiful roses, going out to eat, crocheting/needle work and tending to her beloved animals, Molly the cat and Ralph the dog. However, there were many a stray who would become part of her family, as they knew they would be fed and well cared for by her. Her jovial, outgoing nature and infectious laughter will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her giving, kind and caring nature was apparent to all who knew and loved her. She is survived by two daughters, Christine Beebe Miller of Milford, Del. and Faith Miller, of Annapolis, Md.; her sister, Wyonna Yeiser and her husband Terry Yeiser of Milford, Del.; two aunts, Bessie Hitchens of Dagsboro, Del. and Ruby Beebe of Centerville, Md.; and one niece, Sue Lynn Daniel and her husband Michael Daniel, of Richmond, Va. Predeceasing her was her father and mother, Mr. Arthur Harold and Mrs. Vera Golden Beebe, of Milford, Del.; her brother, Eldred Beebe, of Ormond Beach, Fla.; her niece, Diane White of Milford, Del.; her first husband and father of her two children, Wilson Roy Miller, Jr. of Pickering Beach, Del. and Bonita Springs, Fla. Her family honored her wishes, by having a private graveside service for family and closest friends. She was laid to rest at Ellendale Cemetery where she is reunited with her mother and father, in the family plot. The private service was held on August 7, 2012, officiated by Rogers Funeral Home, with Pastor Earle N. Baker from Avenue Methodist Church delivering the eulogy. If anyone wishes to honor our mother, Frieda Beebe, you may make a contribution to any one of the many charities she supported during her life, such as ASPCA, Disabled American Veterans, Cancer Society to name a few. She was a truly wonderful, giving, caring person and will be dearly missed by her family and many close friends. Her family also wishes to express our most sincere thanks for the loving comments, cards, food etc... extended to us following our mothers passing. It is a true testament of how loved she was by so many.
