DOVER - Frank LeRoy Moyer passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at Kent General Hospital. He was 91. Mr. Moyer was born Dec. 10, 1922 in Denver, Colo. to the late Roy A. Moyer and Nellie Blye Moyer. He served in the United States Army during WWII in North Africa, Italy and Sicily. Mr. Moyer had been an FBI finger printer prior to the service and there met his wife, Marjory who worked as a decoder. After his time in the service they married. He worked as a paint salesman for Sapolin and later Finneran and Haley Co. from 1940 until his retirement in 1976. Mr. Moyer enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and was an avid sailor. He and Marjory had sailed the inland waterways yearly from New Jersey to Florida for 17 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjory May Page Moyer in 2010. He is survived by his sons, Richard B. Moyer of Dover, Frank L. Moyer, Jr. of Sacramento, Calif.; daughter, Karen Page Sechler of Dover; grandchildren, Nena Page Craven, Bernadine Karen Sechler and Frances May Boker; great-grandchildren, Brennan Page Craven and Logan Richard Gallo. Services will be private.
