Frank DeShields

SMYRNA - Frank DeShields passed away suddenly, Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 in Kent General Hospital, Dover. He worked as a janitor for most of his life and was a member of the Peach Circle Community Center, in Smyrna. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Mahaffey) DeShields, who died in 2007. He is survived by a son, Tony Franklin of Magnolia; daughter, Kathleen Franklin of Dover; two step-sons, John McGinnis of Marydel and Caleb Moore of Smyrna; niece, Beverly Eaton of Camden; step-daughter, Maryann Lemond of Phoenix, Az.; sister-in-law, Josephine Eaton of Smyrna; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where family and friends may view 2 hours prior. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Smyrna. In Lieu of Flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
