'Frank', 88 SMYRNA - Francisco Anthony Mandarano, Jr. "Frank", age 88, of Smyrna, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at home. He was born September 03, 1926 in Dedham, Mass., son of the late Francisco Mandarano Sr. and Maria Cantazzritti Mandarano. Frank first served in the United States Marine Corps and then continued to serve his country in the United States Air Force until 1971 when he retired after 20 years of service. He owned and operated Del-Mar Appliance in Dover where he worked with his family until his 2nd retirement in 1988. He enjoyed flying his plane, traveling, tinkering on anything he could get his hands on. But his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Lovetri) Mandarano; two sons, Bruce and Joseph Nygard; a daughter, Sylvia Charland, their spouses, children and grandchildren; one brother and two sisters. All Services will be private. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.
