FREDERICA - Frances "Franny" Ruth Burris passed away, Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Seasons Hospice, Christiana Hospital, Newark. Mrs. Burris was born Aug. 26, 1954 in Norfolk, Va., to the late Richard Sullens and Ruth Mae Jones Sullens. She was a supervisor for Service Masters for seven years. Mrs. Burris loved being at the beach in Ocean City, Md., and investigating different places on the computer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, James and Lewis Oakley; and sister, Ruth Elizabeth Weiser. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Stephen "Love Bug"; children, Stephen Burris, II, and his wife Karen, of Middletown, Leonard Burris, of Elsmere, and Tevra Burris and her fiancée, Charles Nichols "Bunny"; sister, Barbara Ann Noack, of Newark; grandchildren, Ashley, Alexis, Hayley, Abryona and Aidan; and her two closet friends, Susan McNaulty and Kathy West. Funeral services will be held 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be held 10 a.m., Monday June 13, 2016 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE, 19701.
