Fox Post 2 gets no-hit but wins 1-0 over Canal Post 25
Despite being held without a hit, Fox Post 2 notched a 1-0 victory over Canal Post 25 Middletown in American Legion baseball on Wednesday night.
The Dover-based squad scored the contest’s only run in the sixth inning when Tommy Pomatto reached base on an error and Post 25 followed with three straight walks.
Winning pitcher Joey Haas threw a four-hitter and struck out eight for Post 2 (6-5) while tossing 73 pitches.
Krew Bouldin and Nick Ruhl combined to pitch the no-hitter for Post 25 (9-6), which got two hits from Jarrett Wallace.
The two South Division squads have split of a pair of games this season.
