DOVER — Four masked suspects are being sought after two apparently unrelated armed robberies at a pawn shop and diner on Monday, city police said.

Dover Police Department said a suspect robbed a 21-year-old man at gunpoint at noon in the Mid-Atlantic Pawn Parking lot at 1255 S. State St.

Cash was taken and the suspect fled in an unknown vehicle, spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

The suspect was described as a 5-foot-9 to 5-10 white male weighing 150 to 170 pounds and wearing a mask over his face.

At 10 p.m., police said, three suspects entered the Hollywood Diner at 123 N. DuPont Highway and stole cash from the register after a handgun was pointed at employees.

The suspects — described as black males, all wearing black clothing, masks, and gloves — then fled, police said.

No injuries were reported in either case.

Investigations are ongoing, and Dover Police ask anyone with information to call 736-7111. Callers may remain anonymous.
